Progress

Had another weigh in today :) I now weigh 10st 2. And I can finally fit into a size 10 super skinny jeans :D they're still a tiny bit tight when I sit down but its something to work towards.

Currently I'm doing lots of exercise. Swimming , running , toning exercises etc. I'm eating either a weight watchers bagel or shredded wheat for breakfast. Soup and ww bread for lunch. And a healthy choices meal with a plate of veg for dinner :)

What ive eaten today

Today in addition to running 3 miles and swimming 1 mile i have eaten:
A bowl of shredded wheat 210
A bowl of soup 190
2 crispbreads 65
a healthy choices meal 400
a portion of carrots  150?

thats a total of 1015.. so thats ok ... that means i can have a bread role ;)

Swimming and weight loss!

This morning i didnt want to wait until sunday to know my weight.. so i weighed myself and ive lost 3 pounds :) Which is good seeing as its only been 2 or 3 days and theres only so much exercise you can do in that time :)
Today i also swam a mile :) I swam about 69 lengths in 50 mins

To day has been quite difficult in terms of diet :( i lead an easter club called chocolate welding.. its exactly like it sounds.. a full day of melting chocolate a welding it together again ... it was hard not to nibble at the chocolate :(

Altogether today i ate:
3 ryvitas  34 cal each
1 can of chicken and mushroom soup 300 cal
3 squares of chocolate 100 cal?
half a slice of pizza 100 cal ?
1 healthy choices meal 400 cal
1 large bread roll (just now because i was actually hungry :(   ) 200 cal?

1973 is the amount of calories ive burned so far today. If i dont do anything i burn around 60 calories an hour. so by the end of the day i will have burned 2093. The food ive eaten today adds up to around 1200. So even though today i had a little pizza and chocolate i still burned more calories than i ate :)

The aim of my healthy lifestyle isnt to count calories and become obsessed with a specific number but i do think its a good way to roughly check you ate healthily that day. Even if you dont do the calorie bit you still make a list of what you ate and can see if you are happy with that or not. So thats what this post is about. Im even talking about those little mouthfuls of food you ate as you were cooking. SO yesterday i ate and drank:

4 dark rye rivita - 136
About 50g of reduced fat cream cheese - 50 cal
2 slices of white toast - 174
1 can of soup - 400
a small portion of white pasta - 285
half a swede - 84 cal
3 parsnips - 200
A few spoons of fat free yogurt
1 pint of berrocca
2/3 pints of sugar free juice

so that adds up to about 1330 cals in a day. Say 1400 with the drinks and the yogurt.

I plan to go back to my old method of eating healthy choices microwave meals for dinner with lots of veg. Im happy that i know im eating the correct portion size and there is lots of choice :) As soon as Easter weekend is over and i can get to a shop i can stock up on some good foods :)

Running!

I do love to run.. but i get a bit bored of running on my own.. i eventually run out of music to listen to. So today i recruited two friends to run with me :D

The starting line

Hello everyone and welcome to Motivations first post! Every run, jog, race or marathon needs a starting line and to be honest my starting line was the 26th of August 2013. Im not sure if it was my heaviest but i weighed about 12 and a half stone... I was only just about comfortable in a size 14 and I was miserable with the way i looked. Not because i was enormous but because i knew i could do much better with my body. Now ive lost maybe a little over 2 stone im much happier- however its very slowly starting to creep back on... I got down to 9st 12 and i was very happy.. slowly since Christmas ive gone back up to 10 st 6. Nothing dreadful but it will get much worse if i dont keep it in check. 

My current goal is to return to 9st 12 and then maybe carry on loosing weight if i feel like i need to. 

I used the wii fit plus to achieve my weight loss last time and simple healthy eating and portion size control. That method worked great but im now planning on supporting that with more motivational photos, (how i used to look before i gained weight, how i looked after id lost weight and photos of myself i hate) exercising with friends and keeping this blog. 

I plan to start with doing a weigh in every week- every Sunday. Last time i used wii fit to weigh myself every day and when i was loosing weight quickly that was great, but now I'm smaller the change is happening slower so I'm not feeling quite so accomplished. 

I'm thinking the key is variation.. i get bored very easily so i may change my exercise plan many many times. 

So this is a new starting line and I'm going to give you all some measurements of mine. 

My Current weight: 10st 6 pounds - 146 pound - 66 kg
Arms - 30cm
Thighs - 59cm
Smallest part of waist - 73 cm 
Largest part of tummy - 89 cm
Uk size- 10-12

According to reading online i should have a waist measurement of below 80 cm to be healthy so i am quite close to 80 cm give or take. But this is more about loosing that last bit of weight and maintaining rather than usual weight loss.  

So there it is! My first post.. ill probably post quite a lot to start with and then it will hopefully become steady.
